Recently a customer booked to have her birthday celebration at Robyn's Soap House. This party was a first for Robyn's Soap House and I was keen to make it a great success. On the appointed day nine 30+ year olds arrived at 10 am. They had a guided tour of where we make our soap and then settled down to the table I had set up for having some fun with soap. The first hour was taken up with creating soap balls (or other shapes) with powdered soap, flowers and essential oils. There was a lot of chatting and laughter and everyone was happy with their results. The second hour was taken up making bath bombs. The participants chose their moulds, colours, flowers and essential oils and we proceeded to mix the ingredients which were divided up amongst the participants. Once again they had a lot of fun and the end results looked amazing.
A few days later I received an email from the "birthday girl" saying it was a great morning and everyone enjoyed themselves very much and loved using the products they made.
The above I hope will be the first of many Creative Soapmaking Parties to come. It is a chance for people to enjoy one another's company, be creative, have something delightful to take home (maybe show and tell) and a great way to celebrate an occasion with your friends.
